This is that poem.What Have I To Give To You?Bouquets of stars to spread on your bedSabers of moonbeams crossed over your headPrisms of silhouettes to dance into viewOceans of laughter is your dueWarmness and softness wherever you roamA home full of peace high up on the domeSpoons, cups and bowls of overflowing joyGenuineness and thoroughness wound up in a coilI am your master your servant your friendBursting with bubbles to make amendsBarrels of nothingness to fill with Eureka'sSunsets of colors unable to speak ofSilence so strong ghosts hear your songsHangers of king's robes that you may put onMountains and valleys of sweet perfumed flowersTruckloads of riches to claim as your dowerAs like whales living deep down in the seaWith immeasurable freedom you are to beStrings and ribbons of family and friendsWisdom beyond every monk and amenCome here, come here take all that I've saidI've a huge reservoir just waiting to spreadBefore that year of sixty, my husband and I were foster parents for ten years. I had a real knack for making babies happy. But then - I was very sad inside my head.After having written hundreds of short stories, and one poem, I decided to write some lyrics to a favorite melody of mine - 'Ashokan Farewell' by Jay Ungar.
